As used in
Judeo-Freemasonry, the cornerstone
symbol is a
symbolical synonym of the Seal of Solomon. Mackey notes
how the cornerstone, unlike many other symbols used in
Freemasonry, cannot be traced back to the Eastern and
pre-Biblical pagan cultures or times:
"...the corner-stone seems to be a peculiarly Jewish
symbol. I can find no reference to it in any of the
ancient pagan rites, and the EBEN PINAH, the corner-stone,
which is so frequently mentioned in Scripture as the
emblem of an important personage, and most usually, in the
Old Testament, of the expected Messiah, appears, in its
use in Masonry, to have had, unlike almost very other
symbol of the order, an exclusively temple origin."

Thus, if Mackey is right, the corner-stone is not only a
uniquely Jewish symbol associated with Solomon's Temple,
but it signifies the messiah of Judaism and
Judeo-Freemasonry. It is one among many Freemasonic signs
of the The Grand Architect of Freemasonry. As Mackey tells
us elsewhere, virtually all of the pivotal Masonic symbols
are simply pointing to the same reality; namely,
T.G.A.O.T.U., or the god of the Builders (i.e.,
Freemasons):
"...the whole symbolism of Freemasonry has an
exclusive reference to what
kabbalists have called the
ALGABIL -- the Master Builder -- him whom
Freemasons have designated as the Grand Architect of
Freemasonry." (Albert Mackey, The Symbolism of
Freemasonry)
The corner-stone, as used in Masonic ritual, is associated
not only with the operative craft of Masonry, which is
stone-masonry, but also with the unique identity of Masons
as "the Builders". For it's customary in Freemasonry to
initiate the building of any edifice with an elaborate
ceremony that's centered around laying down the
corner-stone, the first building-stone of the Builders in
building any building.
As Mackey tells us, the corner-stone in Judeo-Freemasonry
is always placed at the North-East corner of an edifice,
such that two sides of the stone are sometimes exposed and viewable,
one side of which, the Eastern side, represents light,
since it's from the East that the sun rises, whereas the
Northern side of the corner stone signifies darkness,
because, as Mackey informs us,
"in Masonry, the north has
ever been esteemed as the place of darkness and in
symbolic obedience to this principle, no light is allowed
to illumine the northern part of the lodge."

In contrast, the east side of the cornerstone signifies
light.
It will be clear, then, to anybody familiar with the
Masonic meaning of Solomon's Seal, how the the northern
side of the corner-stone is equivalent in meaning to what
is called in the occult the Water Triangle (downward
pointing, i.e., dark), whereas the eastern side of the corner-stone is
tantamount in meaning to what is called the Fire Triangle
(upward pointing, i.e., light). What's more, since the corner-stone
represents the Messiah or Moschiach of Masonry, and also
represents, as we have seen, both light and darkness, good
and evil, the distinguishing dogma of occult dualism is
thus represented by the corner-stone; namely, the
belief that god is both light and darkness, good and evil,
in which case we can see how the corner-stone is
clearly equivalent in meaning to the seal of Solomon,
although this fact is nowhere explicitly mentioned,
to my knowledge, in Mackey's books.
Ironically, in denying Jesus Christ and accepting a
different Master Builder or Moshiach, the Builders have
rejected the only truly and uniquely Jewish foundation
stone, who is Jesus the Christ, the true corner-stone,
Messiah, and Saviour, according to Christians. For in
rejecting the Biblical definition of God as being light or
pure goodness, in whom there is no evil, darkness, or
deceit, Judeo-Freemasonry has denied the uniquely Jewish
meaning of what is, claims Mackey, the uniquely Jewish
symbol of the corner-stone. Thus the Builders have kept
the uniquely Jewish symbol of the corner-stone but
rejected the uniquely Jewish meaning of that symbol;
namely: "God is light and Him is no darkness at all."

Thus, as it is written, so it is:
"Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, a tried
stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation."

21:42. Jesus saith to them:
Have you never read
in the Scriptures: The stone which the builders
rejected, the same is become the head of the
corner? By the Lord this has been done; and it
is wonderful in our eyes.
21:43. Therefore I say to you that the kingdom
of God shall be taken from you and shall be
given to a nation yielding the fruits thereof.
21:44. And whosoever shall fall on this stone
shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall
fall, it shall grind him to powder.
21:45. And when the chief priests and Pharisees
had heard his parables, they knew that he spoke
of them.

This New Testament prophecy is now a vestige of reality
and one more among so many historical proofs of the
unique greatness and glory of Jesus Christ -- also, of
the uniqueness of the Cross of Jesus Christ as a symbol
of the utter uniqueness of the God of Issac, Jacob, and
Abraham. Today corporate Freemasonry, i.e., The Builders,
reject Jesus Christ, who is the true cornerstone, Messiah,
and Saviour. Freemasonry considers the wholesome doctrine
of Christ to be too divisive and exclusionary. Yet what
does the true religion truly exclude if not evil and the
exclusionary esoteric doctrines of the Builders?
"Now to you who believe, this stone is
precious. But to those who do not believe,
'The stone the builders rejected has become
the capstone,'
and 'A stone that causes men to stumble and
a rock that makes them fall.' They stumble
because they disobey the message -- which
is also what they were destied for.
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood,
a holy nation, a people belonging to God,
that you may declare the praises of him who
called you out of darkness into his wonderful
light." 1 Peter 2:7-9
